Darek Bell, front man for Corsair distillery has pulled together a significant amount of research on how to smoke grains for whiskey and affects of different types of smoke sources on the aroma, flavor and finish of a whiskey. Adam Rogers wrote a entertaining and thorough look at the science of booze.
